Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.
— The Bhagavad Gita

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga is a very gentle, therapeutic form of yoga which aims to calm the nervous system, enable deep relaxation and reduce stress. It is perfect for pregnancy and postpartum as it does not require deep stretching or strengthening but rather offers breathwork, meditation and supported postures. Restorative yoga uses bolsters, blankets, blocks etc to support the body to passively hold a series of postures.

Birth is rarely easy, but often breath can be a gateway to ease, soften and surrender to the process. Yoga is a wonderful way to feel back into your body, your instincts and your intuition. Yoga and breathwork can also be tools to quieten the mind, soften the sounds of the outside world, and enable you to truly connect with your baby both in pregnancy and birth.

During our birth preparation and/or postnatal sessions I invite you to tune back in and support you with practises to do this.

I also offer private restorative yoga classes at anytime during your pregnancy or postpartum period, as a stand alone offering. I offer these in the comfort of your own home.

Private Restorative yoga classes: £50 per 1 hour practice.

I will provide all props and materials required.

For the mother who wants to embrace deep rest, tune into her breath, baby and body and quiet the mind.

I offer restorative yoga practises both as part of my birth and postnatal packages, and also as private standalone sessions.

What is Restorative Yoga?

Breathing in, I calm body and mind. Breathing out, I smile.”
