A doula provides 1-2-1 emotional and physical support to birthing people and their families during pregnancy and childbirth. A doula is not medically trained.
A doula can also advocate for and with you, providing you with evidence based information to inform and empower you.

As your birth doula I will work with you and your chosen birth partner to prepare for labour, birth and the early postpartum period. The 2 hour sessions are flexible based on your needs and specific birth wishes. We can cover:
Physiological birth education
NHS Maternity system guidelines/understanding the system you choose to birth in or outside of
Interventions and pain relief options
Planning for a home birth
Unmedicated birth and pain relief techniques
Breathing techniques
Biomechanics/optimal positioning for baby

As your birth doula I provide support you wherever and however you choose to birth your baby. I will be by your side whether that is at home, at a birth centre or in hospital.

I offer birth and postnatal doula services in Bath and the surrounding area (up to 1 hour away). I also offer 1-2-1 women’s coaching sessions either in person or online.

You can book in a free 30 minute connection call for us to meet each other, ensure we are the right fit and to learn more about my doula or coaching services. If you want to book me in, you can decide on the specific package required and I will send an agreement and invoice. We usually start working together by 20 weeks of pregnancy. I will attend antenatal sessions at your house and will be with you during your birth whether that is at home, birth centre or hospital.

Matrescence coaching is a specific type of coaching aimed at supporting women through the transformational moments during pregnancy, birth and motherhood. A coach provides an empathetic, compassionate and non-judgemental space to feel seen, heard and respected.

You can reach me anytime via telephone, whatsApp or email whilst we are working together. I will also be on call 8 days before your due date and up to 42 weeks of pregnancy.

For birth doula work I ask for 50% deposit on booking and the final 50% at 38 weeks of pregnancy.
For postpartum sessions I ask for you to pay for these in advance and at the time of booking.
For coaching services I ask you to book in blocks of 6 sessions and pay for these in advance.

Doulas are non medical professionals who are there to support you emotionally and physically before, during and after birth. We offer 1-2-1 care and continuity of care throughout. Doulas are skilled at holding space, building trusting relationships and deep listening to ensure you feel seen and heard along your journey.

Restorative yoga is a very gentle, therapeutic form of yoga which aims to calm the nervous system, enable deep relaxation and reduce stress. It is perfect for pregnancy and postpartum as it does not require deep stretching or strengthening but rather offers breathwork, meditation and supported postures. Restorative yoga uses bolsters, blankets, blocks etc to support the body to passively hold a series of postures.
